The best of both TV worlds on your Mac
Watch and record digital terrestrial TV (DVB-T/Freeview/TNT) and analogue
TV on your Mac.
A full range of video inputs let you connect your VHS or
DVD player to capture video with amazing quality.

|
Watch, pause, rewind, record TV shows and watch them immediately with
Apple's Front Row or burn them to DVD.
Designed exclusively for your Mac®, TVMini+ takes your TV viewing to the
next level.
|
You can also use the Composite and S-Video inputs to connect your settop
box ensuring you never miss your favourite cable or satellite shows.
Straight in Front Row
Thanks to the included MPEG-2 component you can for the first time watch your recordings immediately in Front Row or Quicktime, no other product allows you to do this (by
default OSX doesnt feature MPEG-2 playback).
MPEG-2 is the digital format most TV products capture in, usually requiring an export for Front Row & Quicktime plackback which is a lengthy process.

Pristine picture quality for analog and digital
TVMini+ captures 10-bit video which is what standard definition television is
broadcast in, allowing for better replication of brightness and colours and all
sound is captured in stereo..
|
Comparible products only capture in 8-bit and with only mono sound on
analogue (one channel of audio instead of two like with stereo).
Digital and HD TV is captured without any modification, keeping the integrity of
the MPEG-2 stream broadcast by TV stations (MPEG-2 is the video format used
on DVDs).
