Users who are familiar with DV editing know that the picture quality on a preview screen of a DV application is usually of lesser quality or smaller size. A preview monitor allows you to bypass this problem by displaying the final result on a TV screen. For example, any mistakes that might have been made during editing will be easily spotted on a preview monitor. This time saving feature does not require any additional processing power from your computer.
The dual output feature can also be used to export to two VCR - Or any other analogue video recording equipment - simultaneously.
