MediaBank HS-R Hot Swap Raid is Miglia’s
low cost, high security FireWire storage solution.
Featuring two easily removable hard drive
trays and hardware support for Raid 1 (mirroring), HS-R is the
most secure FireWire
storage solution available today.
Data is written to two hard drives simultaneously, preventing
total data loss if a drive were to fail. Hardware support for
mirroring removes potential software conflicts and guarantees
a faultless and automatic backup of your vital data.

HS-R ships with a spare hard drive tray, allowing you to
keep a drive containing all your data in a secure location
(automatic backup facility)!

by built-in hardware. No additional software is required.

removed by simply pulling them out of the case

Drive duplication is fully
automated and made by MediaBank HS-R without any human
intervention. You can even duplicate and
synchronise data on two drives without the unit being connected
to your computer
Ships with three hard drive trays
for additional offline backup functionality
For maximum data security,
you can run a mirror setup and swap the second drive
periodically to always have an ‘offline’ backup
Runs with one or two hard drives
You can remove one of
the two mirrored drives without affecting the availability
of your data. HS-R will simply synchronise the second drive
as soon as it is inserted

In a Raid 1 setup, data will be mirrored
to two disks, enabling an automatic high level of data security.
If one drive fails, the data will still be available on the
mirrored data.

Raid 1 solution while still keeping all the advantages of an external storage
solution

MediaBank HS-R, like all
external peripherals from Miglia, is made out of aluminium
(Al). The physical properties of aluminium offer much better
protection and a much greater lifespan than plastic.

the cost of using quality aluminium is typically higher,
how much is the data contained on your drives really worth?

MediaBank HS-R features
an LCD displays that informs you of the current status of your
drives as well as all tasks performed by the built-in Raid
hardware circuit.
Disk rebuilds, errors, failures are all displayed
and backed up by an audible alarm.

MediaBank
HS-R is best used with 3 or more hard drives to allow offline
backups of your critical data - Whatever configuration you
decide to purchase, a third drive tray will always be included
at no additional cost!
How
does offline backup work?
To create an offline backup, simply pull out a drive from
MediaBank HS-R and store it in a secure location. All your
data will be
contained on this drive, preventing it from being damaged by
a virus or any other kind of data corruption.
Once your drive is out of
the unit, simply replace it with another one. HS-R will automatically
duplicate your data.
By performing these operations, you ensure that you have
a daily copy of all your data in a safe place. No messing
with
complicated
backup software or unreliable tapes. |

MediaBank HS-R features a high speed Miglia
Catalyst 912 Firewire 800 board to ensure incredible performance
combined with flawless compatibility.
The FireWire board is fully supported by
compatible operating systems and does not require any third-party
software drivers
to work.
If you are a Mac user, you can even install
your system and applications on the HS-R to use it as your
boot
disk.

MediaBank HS-R features two hard drive trays
for easy removal/swapping of drives. No need to open the
unit, simply pull on a lever to pull out the tray.
This
operation can be performed while the unit is running
and does not affect any write/read transaction made by
your
system. You can keep working while performing backups
or maintenance.

leading anti-theft mecanism for IT equipment.
