London, UK, 22 March 2007 - Today Miglia Technology, a leading manufacturer of digital media products, today announced that it has joined forces with the award winning software manufacturer equinux, to reinvent digital television on the Mac. As part of the new relationship, Miglia will ship the latest addition to the Miglia TV range, TVMini Express, a low cost USB device, with equinux's new digital TV tuner software The Tube. This bundle transforms your Mac into a completely portable digital TV tuner and easily lets you record your favorite TV shows and put them directly onto your iPod.

Simon Ellson, CEO, Miglia Technology commented: "Miglia's heritage is in hardware design, we have chosen to partner with equinux for TVMini Express software because we believe that the philosophy behind the design is the right one for this decade. 'TV from a different perspective' is our mantra and equinux undoubtedly provides the most effective 'starter' application to allow Miglia customers to watch, record and put TV on their iPod, easily. TVMini last year was the biggest selling TV product for Mac and we expect TVMini Express to surpass this as it is simpler by design and at a very keen price point."

Till Schadde, CEO, equinux commented: "Until now digital Television on the Mac was a question of how to manage the technology. We believe that entertainment has to do with enjoyment, pleasure and ease of use. We have a clear vision of what TV on the Mac will look like in the future. Mobility, flexibility and a low cost of entry are becoming increasingly important to our customers. With The Tube software we took the first giant leap in that direction."

The Tube software is built from the ground up in Cocoa, with no legacy issues to slow the performance, it reacts immediately to your commands, specifically to allow you to enjoy live television on your Mac. With The Tube you can automatically search for available channels, watch TV from anywhere and record TV-shows in a very space-saving way. Images are in glorious digital quality, making your TV viewing a simple, enjoyable process. TVMini Express also supports the Apple Remote for switching between channels and volume control. This is about fresh ideas, having fun, re-discovering TV and ease of use.
