Capturing and Expoprting video using
iMovie and Director's Cut

1. Connect your analogue cables as described in the manual and launch iMovie. Select the right mode (PAL for Europe, NTSC for the USA) and turn on your Director's Cut. iMovie will automatically recognise the mode you have chosen.

2. If you are not using a preview monitor you should turn 'Video Playthrough to Camera' off in the iMovie preferences, under the 'advanced' tab.

3. Set iMovie to DV capture mode by using the switch at the bottom left corner of the preview window. You will see the 'Camera Connected' message.
