HarmonyAudio Troubleshooting
Q: I am using HarmonyAudio to playback audio to my speakers, but the sound is garbled and plays back as if it was fast forwarding.
A: Go to Applications/Utilities/Audio Midi Playback and set the frequency to 44.1 kHz. Higher frequencies are normally used for audio editing applications.
Q: Where can I find the Mac OS X software drivers for HarmonyAudio?
A: There are no drivers to download. HarmonyAudio is CoreAudio compliant and is the purest form of plug-and-play on a Mac. Simply connect the unit and launch GarageBand or any other audio application you wish to use.
Q: Can I use HarmonyAudio to playback 5.1 Audio from a DVD?
A: Yes. HarmonyAudio has 8 channels out that can be configured with the Audio Midi Setup application located in Applications/Utilities/. You will need to use VLC instead of DVD Player to get audio on all channels. VLC is free of charge and can downloaded from http://www.videolan.org
