Problems with your AlchemyTV
or AlchemyTV DVR serial number?
Q: here do I find the serial number for the software?
A: The serial number for the software is located on the CD sleeve. The number on the warranty card is for the hardware only.
Q: Should I enter the serial number in the installer?
A: The installer will ask you for your administrator password and NOT the AlchemyTV or AlchemyTV DVR serial number
Q: I have entered the serial number located on the CD sleeve but it is rejected. What now?
A: There common reasons are:
1. You have misread the serial number. Make sure you have not inverted an (i) with a (1) or vice-versa
2. You have downloaded and installed the wrong installer. If your card shipped with an infrared remote control, you need to use AlchemyTV DVR. If your card shipped without remote control, you will need to download the AlchemyTV software.
Starting from version 2.1, you cannot use an AlchemyTV DVR with the AlchemyTV application.

Q: How am I supposed to view TV if my serial number works only with AlchemyTV DVR?
A: From version 2.0 onwards, the live viewing functions of AlchemyTV are integrated into the DVR application. Basically, you do not need AlchemyTV any longer.
